It is with heartfelt grief that we announce the sudden passing of Jim Stricker, Thursday, May 7, 2009. Jim enjoyed a life-long career in the transportation industry and was loved and admired by many. He was a mentor to many but a friend to all. His experience included years with: American President Lines, Exel Transportation, IDEXX Distribution and Cleo Wrap. He was involved as a member of the Traffic Club of Memphis dating back to the 1980’s including President in 1995, Secretary-Treasurer from 1997-2002 and other board positions from 2004-2009. He was also a member of the Associated Transportation Club from 2004-2009. In addition to his contributions to the transportation industry, he served our country as a Sergeant in the U. S. Marine Corps, was Assistant Troop Leader in the Boy Scouts and a Brother of Lambda Chi Alpha. Jim was transitioning between companies and life insurance was not yet in place; therefore the Traffic Club of Memphis would like to coordinate a fund raiser to assist Roberta, Billy and Alex in funeral and related expenses. Please visit our website, www.trafficclubofmemphis.com for donation instructions. We need your help! Please remember Jim fondly and include his family in your Prayers! Sincerely, The Traffic Club of Memphis
