Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute effective sales processes and account management plans to develop new business and retain existing customers
  • Work with existing accounts to identify unmet needs and offer additional services
  • Develop an expertise in the same day delivery and fleet outsourcing markets
  • Prospect for new customers within a defined territory
  • Creatively assist customers or prospects to solve their logistical challenges by utilizing consultative and solution selling techniques
  • Participate in solution design, costing and pricing processes
  • Investigate and report on local competitive activity and market conditions

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Who we are looking for: 
Those sales professionals with a high degree of initiative; the ability to communicate both with C-level decision makers and front-line staff; and an ability to execute a consultative sales process and have the potential to be highly successful in this role. Experience in the transportation industry is desirable for this position.  However, a proven track record in prospecting and successfully closing B2B sales for a minimum of two years is acceptable.
Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years experience in business–to–business sales. Experience in transportation, logistics, distribution, or outsourcing industries is desired, but not required.
  • Bachelor Degree preferred but not required.
  • Experience responding to Request for Proposals, and making business presentations
  • Ability to use common office productivity tools such as Microsoft Office and CRM applications.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities

Regional Sales Executive, Memphis, TN

 
Job Description:

Seeking success driven professional Transportation Sales Executive.  Primary responsibility of the role is to develop strong customer relationships leading to positive financial results and customer experience for our incumbent client base while also targeting additional client accounts and soliciting new business.

Roles & Responsibilities Include:
  1. Develop account strategies and specific plans that target new and incumbent accounts.
  2. Develop specific account expertise to generate additional opportunities.
  3. Relationship management
  4. Expand product knowledge of company service offering to include entire portfolio. 
Skill Requirements:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Sales & Marketing or Transportation & Logistics. Degree can be substituted by four years additional transportation experience.
  2. Three years experience in sales and marketing and/or operations of transportation and distribution systems.  General understanding of rail, intermodal and highway operations and regulations.
  3. Demonstrated ability to work within budgetary guidelines and support corporate goals and objectives.
  4. Maintain and continuous development of interpersonal skills; getting along with diverse personalities; being decisive and establishing credibility; team player skills.
